Bathymaster és un gènere de peixos de la família dels batimastèrids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[1]

Depredadors modifica

Bathymaster signatus és depredat pel bacallà del Pacífic (Gadus macrocephalus) a Alaska.[2]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba al Pacífic nord: des del Japó (com ara, l'illa de Hokkaido),[3][4] la mar del Japó,[5][6][7] l'estret de Tatària, la badia de Pere el Gran, la mar d'Okhotsk,[8][9][10] les illes del Comandant,[11][12] Kamtxatka,[13][14] les illes Kurils[14][13] i les illes Aleutianes[15] fins a l'Àrtic,[16] el mar de la Sibèria Oriental, el golf d'Alaska,[17][18][19] Washington[20] i la Colúmbia Britànica (el Canadà).[21]

Estat de conservació modifica

Només Bathymaster derjugini apareix a la Llista Vermella de la UICN pels impactes mediambientals causats pel desenvolupament costaner, la contaminació de l'aigua, el trànsit marítim intens i el buidatge de combustible dels vaixells.[26]
