Chrionema chryseres és una espècie de peix de la família dels percòfids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[5]

Descripció modifica

Fa 21 cm de llargària màxima. Aleta dorsal amb 6 espines, 16 radis tous i amb la part espinosa mai de color negre atzabeja. 26 radis tous a l'aleta anal. Absència de tentacles als maxil·lars.[6][7][8]

Alimentació modifica

El seu nivell tròfic és de 3,62.[9]

Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica modifica

És un peix marí i batidemersal (entre 335 i 490 m de fondària[10] sobre fons sorrencs i rocallosos),[11] el qual viu al Pacífic: el sud del Japó,[7][12][13][14][15][16] la Xina,[17][18][19] Taiwan[20] i les illes Chesterfield[21][22] i Hawaii (com ara, Oahu).[1][11][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][3][8][33]

Observacions modifica

És inofensiu per als humans[8] i el seu índex de vulnerabilitat és moderat (38 de 100).[34]
