Fa 21 cm de llargària màxima.[7][8]

Alimentació modifica

El seu nivell tròfic és de 3,62.[9]

Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica modifica

És un peix marí, batidemersal i d'aigües fondes, el qual viu al Pacífic nord-occidental: des del sud del Japó[7][3][10][11][12][13][14] fins al mar de la Xina Oriental.[4][8][15]

Observacions modifica

És inofensiu per als humans[8] i el seu índex de vulnerabilitat és moderat (38 de 100).[16]
