Resum
| Descripció | One of the great things about birding in a place like Costa Rica is the opportunity to see Neotropical endemics. Things like toucans get all the attention -- and they are indeed very cool to see -- but I was personally very fond of the unassuming woodcreepers. I had never seen any birds in this family before, and I really enjoyed watching them hop along tree trunks. They are a challenge to identify in the field, though, as most seem to be some variant on plain brown (there is even a species just called the Plain-brown woodcreeper). |
