The church and surrounding churchyard are hemmed in by a wall and tall trees from all sides and hence difficult to photograph. Remains of an old stone tomb > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/933409 can be seen on the chancel north wall; it is believed to have been constructed from parts of several different tombs, with the lower part having come from the tomb of Thomas Buttes, d. 1592. The ledger slab seen on the floor in front is to members of the Bacon family.
