Morfologia modifica
Alimentació modifica
És omnívor, tot i que, principalment, vegetarià: menja fitoplàncton, algues i d'altres plantes.[4]
Depredadors modifica
És depredat per Perissodus microlepis[5] i Plecodus straeleni.[6][7]
Hàbitat modifica
Viu en zones de clima tropical entre 23 °C-26 °C°C de temperatura.[8]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba a Àfrica: és una espècie de peix endèmica del llac Tanganyika.[2]
