Alimentació modifica

Es nodreix principalment d'algues.[7][8]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix d'aigua dolça, bentopelàgic i de clima tropical (16°S-17°S).[5]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

És un endemisme d'Austràlia: els rius Gilbert, Norman i Flinders.[5][9][10][11]

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
