Morfologia modifica

Reproducció modifica

És ovípar i els ous són protegits pel mascle.[6] Forma harems constituïts per un mascle i diverses femelles.[7][8][9][10]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí, de clima subtropical i demersal que viu fins als 106 m de fondària.[4]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba des del nord de la Colúmbia Britànica (el Canadà) fins a Punta Rompiente (Baixa Califòrnia, Mèxic).[4][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20]

Observacions modifica

És inofensiu per als humans.[4]
