Reproducció modifica
Hom creu que té lloc quan hi ha inundacions.[7]
Alimentació modifica
És omnívor[8] i la seua dieta inclou peixos, crustacis, insectes i mol·luscs.[5]
Hàbitat modifica
És un peix d'aigua dolça, bentopelàgic i de clima temperat (10 °C-30 °C).[5][9]
