Hàbitat modifica
És un peix marí, de clima tropical i associat als esculls de corall.[1]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba des de Hokkaido fins a les illes Ryukyu. També és present al Mar de la Xina Oriental i el Mar de la Xina Meridional.[1][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19]
