Morfologia modifica

És monògam.[3][4]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí, de clima tropical (22 °C-27 °C)[5] i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 1-45 m de fondària.[1][6]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba des del sud del Mar Roig[7] i l'Àfrica Oriental[8] fins a Indonèsia, el sud del Japó i la Gran Barrera de Corall.[9][1][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][19][22][23][24][25][26]

Observacions modifica

És inofensiu per als humans.[1]
