Morfologia modifica
Alimentació modifica
Menja principalment peixos i, també, petites quantitats de gambes.[4]
Reproducció modifica
És ovípar[5] i les femelles ponen càpsules d'ous, les quals presenten com unes banyes a la closca.[6]
Hàbitat modifica
És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes (48°N-42°S) que viu entre 1.370-2.500 m de fondària.[2][7]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba al Canadà, França i Nova Zelanda.[8][9][10][11][12][13]
