Alimentació modifica
Menja algues i invertebrats (ostracodes, foraminífers, copèpodes i gastròpodes).[1]
Hàbitat modifica
És un peix marí de clima tropical i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 0-3 m de fondària.[1][4]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba des del Mar Roig fins a Durban (Sud-àfrica), les Illes Marqueses, les Tuamotu, les Ryukyu[5] i Micronèsia.[1][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] [13]
