Testimonis del Llibre de Mormó: diferència entre les revisions

 

Els Tres Testimonis eren Oliver Cowdery, Martin Harris i David Whitmer, que van deixar testimoniatge junts en un testament separat dels Vuit Testimonis i ha estat imprès amb cada edició del Llibre de Mormó des de la primera publicació en 1830. Els tres testimonis més tard es van separar de [[Joseph Smith (fill)]] i van ser excomulgats de l'església que van fundar.<ref>En 1838, Joseph Smith va cridar a Cowdery, Harris i Whitmer "too mean to mention; and we had liked to have forgotten them." == Vuit Testimonis ==

Els Vuit Testimonis van ser el segon de dos grups de "testimonis especials" de les planxes d'or del Llibre de Mormó. Tots eren membres de la família de Smith o de Whitmer:

Joseph Smith era el pare de [[Joseph Smith (fill)]] i Samuel H. Smith i Hyrum eren els seus germans. Christian, Jacob, Peter i John eren germans de David Whitmer i Hiram Page era l'encunyat.<ref>Richard Lyman Bushman, Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling (New York: Alfred A.
