Si bé els dies coberts són més freqüents a l'[[hivern]], quan més plou és a estiu, època en què es desenvolupen tempestes a vegades molt intenses, això provoca que grans quantitats d'aigua caiguin en poc temps. A l'hivern són més comunes les pluges dèbils però contínues. De totes maneres no es pot dir que hi hagi estacionalitat de pluges. Els estius són càlids, amb una mitjana de gener de 24,5 °C. L'elevada humitat sol tornar sufocant al temps. Els hiverns són suaus, amb una temperatura mitjana de juliol d'11 °C. Rarament es donen temperatures inferiors a 0 °C i superiors a 36 °C. Les boires, una altra característiques de Buenos Aires, s'han tornat infreqüents, amb pocs dies l'any.
