L'escriptura maya o els '''jeroglífics mayas''', va anar el [[sistema d'escriptura]] usat per la civilització maya [[Amèrica precolombina|precolombina]] en [[Mesoamèrica|Mesoamérica.]] Els caràcters o logogramas van ser anomenats jeroglífics pels antics exploradors europeus dels segles [[Segle XVIII|XVIII]] i [[Segle XIX|XIX]], els qui no entenien el seu significat, però van atribuir similituds en aparença amb els [[Jeroglífic egipci|jeroglífics egipcis]], amb els quals la civilització maya no està relacionada. Es tracta de l'únic sistema d'escriptura desxifrat dels [[Sistemes d'escriptura de Mesoamèrica|sistemes d'escriptura mesoamericanos.]] Les primeres inscripcions que són identificables com mayas daten del segle III
