En les obres de [[J.R.R. Tolkien]], els '''Muntaners del Nord''', també coneguts com a '''Dúnedain del Nord''', són els descendents dels dúnedain del regne perdut d'Àrnor.
Després de la destrucció definitiva del [[Àrnor|Regne del Nord]] a mans del [[Rei bruixot d'Àngmar]], els dúnedain que el poblaven es van refugiar al sud de Rivendell. A partir d'aleshores van patrullar constantment els límits d'Eriador, sovint vestits amb robes grises i encaputxats, portant llances, arcs i espases. Entre ells conservaven els [[síndarin]], en lloc de la llengua comuna.
El seu nombre, però, anà minvant i el poble dels dúnadan es dispersà.
