== Vuit Testimonis ==

Els Vuit Testimonis van ser el segon de dos grups de "testimonis especials" de les planxes d'or del Llibre de Mormón. Tots eren membres de la família de Smith o de Whitmer: Christian Whitmer, Jacob Whitmer, Peter Whitmer (fill), John Whitmer, Hiram Page, Joseph Smith (pare), Hyrum Smith i Samuel Harrison Smith. Joseph Smith era el pare de Joseph Smith i Samuel H. Smith i Hyrum eren els seus germans. Christian, Jacob, Peter i John eren germans de David Whitmer i Hiram Page era l'encunyat.<ref>Richard Lyman Bushman, Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling (New York: Alfred A.
