La ''' Teoria de Control ''' és un camp interdisciplinari de l'[[enginyeria]] i la [[matemàtica]], que tracta sobre el comportament de [[sistemes dinàmics]]. A la sortida desitjada d'un sistema se l'anomena '' referència ''. Quan una o més variables de sortida d'un sistema necessiten seguir certa referència sobre el temps, un [[Controlador (teoria de control)|controlador]] manipula l'entrada del sistema per obtenir l'efecte desitjat a la sortida del mateix.
