Hàbitat modifica
És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 50-150 m de fondària.[1][3]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba a l'Atlàntic[4][5][6][7][8][9] i el Pacífic[10] (entre 35-40°N i 30-35°S).[1][11][12][13][14][15]
