Hexacord

Un hexacord o Gamut , és una col·lecció de sis tons. És un sistema d'organització musical consistent en agrupar una sèrie de 7 hexacords o sèrie de 7 notes organitzats de certa manera. El terme va ser originalment usat en l'edat mitjana, però va tenir un ressorgiment en el segle XX amb el desenvolupament de la teoria de conjunts musicals.^[2]^[3]

Arnold Schönberg que, per motius de salut,va residir un temps a Barcelona el 1932, l'empra a la seva obra per cello, Die Jakobsleiter.^[1]
