Pangasianodon hypophthalmus
espècie de peix
Pangasianodon hypophthalmus és una espècie de peix de la família dels pangàsids i de l'ordre dels siluriformes. Es coneix com a panga en el comerç internacional i s'obté fàcilment en piscifactoríes localitzades al sud-est asiàtic, raó per la qual resulta molt econòmic i el seu consum té una tendència creixent a tot el món.

És un peix d'aigua dolça i de clima tropical (22 °C-26 °C).[3][6]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba a l'Àsia, a les conques dels rius Mekong i Chao Phraya, tot i que ha estat introduït en altres rius.[7][8][9][10][3][11][12][13][14][15]
