Hàbitat modifica
És un peix de clima tropical i demersal.[3]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba a Austràlia,[6] Indonèsia, el Japó (incloent-hi les Illes Ryukyu), Nova Caledònia, Palau, Papua Nova Guinea,[7] les Filipines,[8] Tailàndia i Vanuatu.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19]
