Two male Tule Elk walk away from the camera. While this en:State of California, Resources Agency, Department of Fish and Game, "Elks club" has an address of 8653 Station Rd., Buttonwillow, CA 93206, the location is physically closer to Tupman. Straight-line distance from reserve headquarters to Grace Road and Tupman Road is 2.4 miles. Buttonwillow is about three times further: 7.6 miles. Signs at the reserve say an estimated 500,000 Tule Elk once inhabited California. About this image:
