Kolorowa litografia opublikowana przez Currier & Ives, New York w 1863. Widoczne okręty (od prawej do lewej): kanonierka pancerna "Benton" (okręt flagowy), za nią: kanonierka pancerna "Lafayette" i kanonierka cottonclad "General Price", kanonierki pancerne typu City: "Louisville", "Mound City", "Pittsburg", "Carondelet", transportowce "Silver Wave", "Forest Queen", "Henry Clay" (zatopiony podczas przedarcia), kanonierka pancerna "Tuscumbia".

Tłumaczenie tekstu poniżej: "O godzinie 22:30 okręty opuściły swoje moiejsca cumowania i popłynęły w dół rzeki, na czele admirał Porter na "Benton" -- kiedy osiągnęły punkt naprzeciwko miasta, straszny skoncentrowany ogień środkowych, górnych i dolnych baterii, został skierowany na kanał, biegnący w tym miejscu w odległości mniejszej niż 100 jardów od brzegu. W tym momencie zapalono niezliczone pojemniki z terpentyną i innymi łatwopalnymi materiałami. W obliczu tego całego ognia, okręty przedarły się bez strat, z wyjątkiem transportowca "Henry Clay", który został zapalony i zatonął".

Text under the print's title reads: "At half past ten P.M. the boats left their moorings & steamed down the river, the Benton, Admiral Porter, taking the lead -- as they approached the point opposite the town, a terrible concentrated fire of the centre, upper and lower batteries, both water and bluff, was directed upon the channel, which here ran within one hundred yards of the shore. At the same moment innumerable floats of turpentine and other combustible materials were set ablaze. In the face of all this fire, the boats made their way with but little loss except the transport Henry Clay which was set on fire & sunk."
