Descripció modifica
Hàbitat modifica
És un peix marí, pelàgic-nerític i de clima subtropical (37°N-12°N, 29°E-45°E) que viu entre 0-50 m de fondària.[3][5]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba al mar Roig, l'est de la Mediterrània[6][7][8][9][10][11] i, probablement també, el golf d'Aden.[3][12]
Ús comercial modifica
Es comercialitza fresc, en salaó, assecat i com a mandonguilles de peix.[3]
