És un peix marí, de clima polar i demersal que viu entre 5-825 m de fondària.[6][9]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba des de la Mar d'Okhotsk fins a l'Àrtic canadenc.[6][10][11][12][13][14][15]
