Morfologia modifica

Els mascles poden assolir els 240 cm de longitud total.[3]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba des del Mar Roig i Sud-àfrica fins a les Tuamotu, les Illes Ryukyu, les Hawaii i Nova Caledònia. També és present a Costa Rica, Panamà i les Illes Galápagos.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26]
