Myrothamnus
gènere de plantes
Myrothamnus és un gènere de plantes amb flors[1] que conté dues espècies de petits arbusts xeròfits a les parts del sud de l'Àfrica tropical i Madagascar. Myrothamnus està reconegut com l'únic gènere dins la família Myrothamnaceae.

Myrothamnaceae va ser inclòs dins l'ordre Hamamelidales al Sistema Cronquist.[2] Els estudis moleculars suggereixen que Myrothamnus no està estretament relacionat amb els Hamamelidaceae però sí clarament relacionat amb el gènere Gunnera.[3] En l'APG III (2009,) la circumscripció més estreta és la preferida i les dues famílies es consideren diferents[4]
