Morfologia modifica
Reproducció modifica
És ovípar[5] i les femelles ponen càpsules d'ous, les quals presenten com unes banyes a la closca.[6]
Hàbitat modifica
És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes (29°S-40°S) que viu entre 292-1.025 m de fondària.[3]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba a l'oceà Atlàntic sud-oriental: des de la desembocadura del riu Orange fins a Agulhas Bank (Sud-àfrica).[3][7]
