Morfologia modifica

Reproducció modifica

És monògam,[3] ovípar[4] i els pares protegeixen els ous.[1]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí, de clima subtropical i demersal.[1]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba al Pacífic oriental: des del centre de Califòrnia (Estats Units) fins al sud de la Baixa Califòrnia (Mèxic).[1][5][6][7]

Observacions modifica

És inofensiu per als humans i s'adapta bé a viure en captivitat.[1]
