The Wikipedia Asian Month 2023[1] is coming ! The campaign start within a flexible 30 days from November to December. Following with the changes of the rules made by last year, the wish to have more people get to know Asia and Asian related topic is the same! Click "Here" to Organiz/ Join a WAM Event.

1. Propose "Focus Theme" related to Asia !

If you are based somewhere in Asia, or have specific passion on an Asian topic, please propose your "Focus Theme" by October 25th. The WAM international team will select 5 themes. Please propose your focus theme through this link[2].

2. Enhancing existing articles can also count as part of campaign contribution.

Any edits, including creating new articles or adding new content to existing articles, over 3000 bytes in total would be able to get a reward. Last year, due to this change of rules, the Programs & Events Dashboard was suggested. However, according to community survey of 2022, Fountain Tool is still the best platform for tracking edit and points. You don’t need to create any Dashboard. For the tracking of editing existing article, the international team is currently designing a form. Will soon publish to the main page of WAM 2023.

3. More flexible campaign time

The contribution duration would remain 30days, but we extended the overall campaign timeline to 2 months. All organizers can decide when to start their WAM as long as the whole duration is within November 1st to December 31th. It means that you can participate in WAM based on the needs of your local community.

Timetable

• October 1st, 2023 : Publish International Campaign Page of the Year
• October 5th to 25th, 2023 : Call for focus themes of WAM 2023.
• Before 29 October, 2023: Complete Registration [3] of Each language Wikipedia.
• November 1st, UTC 00:00 to December 31th, UTC 00:00, 2023: Running the Campaign. (Find your local campaign for the actual event date.)
• January 1st to March 15th, 2024: Auditing of each language Wikipedia.
• March 30th, 2024: Deadline of reporting statistics and eligible editors to the International Team
• April 1st to May 15th, 2024: The international team distributes Barnstars and Certificates to eligible editors of each event.

The Wikipedia Asian Month 2023[1] is coming ! The campaign start within a flexible 30 days from November to December. He obert una discussió d'avaluació d'AdQ per a un nou article en el qual he estat treballant les darreres setmanes: Viquipèdia:Avaluació d'articles/Dia Internacional de Commemoració en Memòria de les Víctimes de l'Holocaust.

Atès que és un tipus d'article que pot ser del teu interès tenint en compte el teu historial de participació, potser hi pots deixar la teva valoració o comentaris d'interès/millora que ajudin a polir-lo per a la fase de votació Moltes gràcies!

Molt bon dia! Espere que vos vaja tot molt bé a tu i tots els teus durant aquest peri'ode molt complicat. Gràcies per tota la gran faena que fas amb gran qualitat i la teua constància! T'escric ja que s'estan fent les eleccions de la Junta de la Fundacio' Wikimedia (però potser ja ho saps) i crec que hi tens dret de vot, si no has votat ja. Trobe que hem de demostrar que la nostra comunitat té molta força, empenta i vitalitat mitjançant una participacio' important; ja hem assolit un 25% de participacio' i gràcies a tots vosaltres podem pujar encara si no has votat. Espere que hi votaràs, si encara no ho has fet i t'ho agraisc. Per a entendre de qué es tracta (molta gent no en té ni idea dissortadament), he elaborat una mena de balanç amb el meu parer sobre els candidats amb un enllaç penjat a la Taverna on es diu diverses coses sobre les eleccions (segon apartat, Viquipèdia:La_taverna/Novetats o directament al meu enllaç: Usuari:Capsot/Eleccions). Bon dia! Gràcies pel teu interès en l'article «Balena». Tingues en compte, emperò, que la paraula «balena» no té exactament el mateix significat que el mot anglès whale; per exemple, no inclou els odontocets. Així doncs, tot el contingut sobre els odontocets i les seves diferències respecte a «les altres balenes» hauria d'anar a un article diferent. Salut.

Bon dia! Gràcies pel comentari!! La veritat és que no tenia ni idea, però si ens regim pels noms científics, no hauria de ser el mateix en totes les llengües?

És que «balena» no és un nom científic, és un nom vulgar que no té correspondència exacta amb cap nom científic. Les balenes, igual que els invertebrats o els insectívors, no formen un tàxon.

En canvi whale, sí? No tinc ni idea la veritat, aquesta tarda arreglaré l'article.

Whale tampoc. Fixa't que a la taxocaixa de l'article en anglès hi posen l'aclariment Cladistically included but traditionally excluded taxa per reflectir que és un grup que no correspon a cap clade. A nosaltres no ens cal posar aquest aclariment perquè directament fem servir la plantilla {{Nom vulgar}} en lloc de la taxocaixa. Salut!

Amb edicions en articles que van des d'Art del Renaixement a Xi Jinping, veiem que ets cinquè en la classificació del mes d'abril del concurs per crear i millorar 10.000 articles a la Viquipèdia!

El segon classificat, que ja havia estat premiat el concurs del mes anterior, ha cedit el premi al proper classificat no premiat, que ets tu. Es tracta d'una capsa regal d'experiències amb molt per descobrir on pots escollir entre restaurants, rutes culturals i natura, entre d'altres. Les activitats proposades són per fer principalment a Catalunya i tens dos anys per escollir la que més t'agradi i gaudir-la.

Ara només cal que ens indiquis a través d'un correu a secretaria@wikimedia.cat on t'ho hem d'enviar. Recordem que aquest regal és possible gràcies a Amical Wikimedia, l'organització independent de voluntaris que fomenta el coneixement lliure, la llengua i la cultura catalanes.
