Extinction Rebellion - Dont frack with us - Protest about oil extraction from Greece "On October 7th Extinction Rebellion Hellas took part in the global call of Extinction Rebellion International, performing a die-in protest against fracking in front of the Greek Parliament.Earlier this month, the Greek government had voted for the license plans of the oil companies, Total, ExxonMobil, Edison, Energean and Hellenic Petroleum, to perform oil and gas extraction. Our demands were: The Greek Government to ACT NOW and to reject the concessions granted to the oil companies. The Greek Government to TELL THE TRUTH about the disastrous effects of the drills on nature, local economy and public health." |
