Public domain According to the Romanian Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights Law no. 8/1996 of March 14, 1996 with further amendments Chapter 3 Article 9 the following documents shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright:

Stema municipiului Brad, potrivit anexei nr. 1 la hotãrâre, se compune dintr-un scut despicat, având urmãtoarea înfãtisare: În primul cartier, pe albastru, este un brad natural, reprezentând emblema gravatã în sigiliul municipiului în veacul al XVI-lea (1570). În al doilea cartier, având fond rosu, este reprezentatã o dendritã de aur nativ, alãturi de însemnele mineritului, douã ciocane încrucisate plasate la intrarea într-o minã, simbolizând traditia mineritului, principala ramurã industrialã a municipiului. Scutul este timbrat de o coroanã muralã de argint, formatã din 5 turnuri crenelate. Semnificatia elementelor însumate Bradul a fost în secolul al XVI-lea vechea emblemã sigilarã a municipiului Brad. Dendrita reprezintã bogãtia zãcãmintelor din zonã. Ciocanele încrucisate si intrarea în minã relevã ponderea activitãtii miniere în economia localitãtii. Coroana muralã, cu 5 turnuri crenelate, semn specific centrelor urbane, atestã faptul cã asezarea este municipiu.
