Dr. Leonard Horatio McCoy, anomenat Bones (ossos) és un personatge de Star Trek, interpretat per DeForest Kelley. A Star Trek: La Sèrie Original, era un dels tres personatges principals, representava l'emoció humana com personalitat oposada a la disciplina lògica de Spock; dotat d'una gran compassió, és també bastant grunyidor, supersticiós, i tem de forma irracional les noves tecnologies, especialment al transportador, de l'eficàcia del qual no es fia. De tant en tant sol ser bastant intolerant amb l'herència vulcaniana de Spock.

Metge de bord de la USS Enterprise des de 2266, McCoy es preocupa molt seriosament per la salut física i psíquica de la seva tripulació.
