Pennahia argentata

espècie de peix

Pennahia argentata és una espècie de peix de la família dels esciènids i de l'ordre dels perciformes present a l'oceà Pacífic nord-occidental: el Japó, la Xina i Corea.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21] És un peix de clima temperat (32°N-23°N) i bentopelàgic que viu entre 20-140 m de fondària.[4] Els mascles poden assolir 40 cm de longitud total. Tenen 25 vèrtebres.[4][22] Menja peixets i invertebrats.[23] A Corea és depredat per Lophius litulon[24] i al Japó per Triakis scyllium.[25][26] Es comercialitza fresc i assecat.[4] És inofensiu per als humans.[4]
