Ús

Les plantilles {{Any naixement i edat}} i {{Anys naixement-defunció i edat}} retornen d'una persona la seva edat aproximada a partir de l'any del naixement i/o de la seva mort. Les plantilles són útils quan només l'any (o any i mesos) de naixement i/o la mort d'una persona són coneguts, o si es desitja no indicar les dates de ple dret de naixement i/o mort d'una persona per raons de privacitat.

Such an approximation differs from the approximation generated by {{Birth based on age as of date}}; the latter can be used when the only detail available about someone's birth is a reference that establishes his or her age as of a certain date (such as the date that the reference was published).

S'estima l'edat de la persona de la següent manera:

Let us assume:

1. that the person in question was born some time in 1969; and
2. that the present date is 16 abril 2024.

• If the person was born after 16 abril 1969 then she will be 54 years old on 16 abril 2024 as she has not had her 55th birthday yet. On the other hand, if she was born exactly on or before 16 abril 1969, then she will be 55 years old.

Therefore, the template {{Any naixement i edat|1969}}

displays her Any naixement i edat as: 1969 (54 o 55 anys)

• Optionally, if we know the person's birth month but not the day, we can also have the template display the month.

Let us assume that the person was born in June 1969. Therefore:

• If it is presently January 2024, then this year the person has not had her birthday yet. Therefore, the template {{Any naixement i edat|1969|6}} displays her Any naixement i edat as: 1969 (54 anys).
• If it is presently June 2024, we do not know whether the person has had her birthday this year yet since her day of birth is unknown. Therefore, the template displays her Any naixement i edat as: 1969 (54–55 anys).
• If it is presently December 2024, then this year the person has already had her birthday. Therefore, the template displays her Any naixement i edat as: 1969 (55 anys).

Let us assume:

1. that the person in question was born some time in 1973; and
2. that he died some time in 2023.

• We can posit as two extremes: (1) that the person was born on 31 December 1973 and died on 1 January 2023, in which case he would have been 49 years old at the time of his death as he did not achieve his 50th birthday on 31 December 2023; and (2) that he was born on 1 January 1973 and died on 31 December 2023, in which case he would have been 50 years old at the time of his death as he had his 50th birthday on 1 January 2023.

Therefore, the template {{Anys naixement-defunció i edat|2023|1973}}

renders his Anys naixement-defunció i edat as: 2023 (als 49–50 anys)

• Optionally, if we know month of the person's death but not the day, we can also have the template display the month.

Using the above examples and assuming the month is 04 (abril)

Therefore, the template {{Anys naixement-defunció i edat|2023|1973|04}}

displays his Anys naixement-defunció i edat as: Abril de 2023 (als 49–50 anys)

If you wish to set out the full dates of birth and/or death of a person and thus to calculate his or her age accurately, please use the templates {{Birth date and age}} and {{Death date and age}}.

Note: Do not use this template inside the Wikipedia:Persondata template as it can interfere with data extraction.
