Borostomias mononema

espècie de peix

Borostomias mononema és una espècie de peix de la família dels estòmids i de l'ordre dels estomiformes present a l'Atlàntic oriental (des del Marroc fins a la República del Congo),[4] l'Atlàntic occidental (des del sud dels Estats Units fins al Golf de Mèxic i el Carib),[5][6] les Guaianes,[7] Austràlia,[8][9] Nova Zelanda,[10] el nord-oest del Pacífic[11] i l'Índic.[12][13] Els mascles poden assolir 31 cm de longitud total.[12][14] És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 640-658 m de fondària.[12][15] Menja peixos i crustacis.[16] És depredat per Pterodroma incerta.[17][18]
