Menja principalment gambes, tot i que també menja peixets i insectes aquàtics.[3]

Hàbitat

És un peix d'aigua dolça i de clima tropical.[1]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a Àsia: conques dels rius Indus i Ganges, conca del riu Mekong, la major part de l'Índia meridional a l'est dels Ghats Occidentals[4][5] i des de la conca del riu Xe Bangfai (Laos)[6][7] fins a Indonèsia.[8][9][1][10][11][2][12][13][14]

Ús comercial
