Descripció

Fa 24 cm de llargària màxima.^[5]^[6]

Reproducció

És de fecundació interna^[7] i vivípar.^[8]

Alimentació

El seu nivell tròfic és de 3,09.^[9]

Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica

És un peix marí, demersal i de clima temperat, el qual viu al Pacífic^[10] nord-occidental: el Japó^[10]^[11]^[12]^[13] (incloent-hi les illes Ryukyu)^[14] i Corea del Sud.^[15]^[16]^[17]^[3]^[6]

Observacions

És inofensiu per als humans^[6] i el seu índex de vulnerabilitat és moderat (40 de 100).^[18]
