Fa 7,7 cm de llargària màxima.^[5]^[6]

Alimentació modifica

Menja crustacis.^[7]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí i bentopelàgic que viu entre 200 i 500 m de fondària.^[5]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba a l'Atlàntic oriental (Madeira i el sud de les illes Canàries), l'Atlàntic occidental (les Bahames i el mar Carib) i el Pacífic oriental central (les illes Hawaii).^[5]^[8]^[9]^[10]^[11]^[12]

Observacions modifica

És inofensiu per als humans.^[5]
