Morfologia modifica

Reproducció modifica

És ovípar[5] i les femelles ponen càpsules d'ous, les quals presenten com unes banyes a la closca.[7]

Alimentació modifica

Menja animals bentònics.[8]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí, de clima temperat (60°N-37°N, 25°W-36°E) i demersal que viu entre 70–676 m de fondària.[5][9]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba a l'oceà Atlàntic oriental: Islàndia,[10] el sud de Noruega, Skagerrak, el Marroc i la Mediterrània occidental.[5][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28]

Observacions modifica

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
