Hàbitat modifica

És un peix d'aigües profundes que viu entre 600-1740 m de fondària.[5]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba al Gabon, el Golf de Mèxic, el Japó,[7][8] Nova Zelanda[9] i el sud-est del Pacífic.[10][11][5]
