Alimentació modifica

Menja principalment peixos.[4]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí de clima tropical i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 20-100 m de fondària.[4]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba des de les Illes Ryukyu[6] fins a la Península de Malacca, Nova Guinea[7][8][9][10] i el nord d'Austràlia.[11][12][13][4][14][15][16]

Ús comercial modifica

És una espècie present als mercats de peix viu de Hong Kong.[17]
