Morfologia

A Hawaii és depredat per Parupeneus cyclostomus.^[4]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí de clima tropical i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 0-2 m de fondària.^[1]^[5]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba des de l'Àfrica Oriental^[6]^[7] fins a les Hawaii^[8]^[9]^[10] i les Illes de la Línia.^[1]^[11]^[12]^[13]^[14]^[15]
