Descripció modifica

Fa 80 cm de llargària màxima.^[2]^[3]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix d'aigua dolça, bentopelàgic i de clima tropical (24 °C-27 °C).^[2]^[4]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba a Àfrica: Burundi, la República Democràtica del Congo, Tanzània i Zàmbia, incloent-hi els rius Congo i Ruzizi, i els llacs Mweru i Tanganyika.^[2]^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]^[9]^[10]^[11]^[12]^[13]^[14]^[15]^[16]^[17]^[18]
