Morfologia modifica

Reproducció modifica

És hermafrodita.[4][5][6]

Alimentació modifica

Menja zooplàncton.[7]

Depredadors modifica

És depredat per Cephalopholis argus, Cephalopholis hemistiktos i Cephalopholis miniata.[8]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí de clima tropical i associat als esculls de corall que viu fins als 55 m de fondària.[2][9]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba des de la Mar Roja[10][11] i Sud-àfrica (KwaZulu-Natal)[12] fins a Niue,[13] Japó i Austràlia.[14][15][2][16]
