Hàbitat modifica
És un peix marí, de clima tropical (22 °C-26 °C)[7] i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 2-30 m de fondària.[8][4]
Distribució geogràfica modifica
Es troba des del Mar Roig fins a Samoa, el sud del Japó, la Gran Barrera de Corall i Nova Caledònia.[4][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34]
