Descripció modifica

  • Pot arribar a fer 7 cm de llargària màxima (normalment, en fa 4).
  • 8 espines i 8-9 radis tous a l'aleta dorsal i 2 espines i 8-9 radis tous a l'anal.[6][7][8]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí, associat als esculls[9] i de clima tropical (30°N-22°S) que viu entre 0-68 m de fondària en aigües poc fondes i entre les espines de Diadema setosum.[6][10][11]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba a Austràlia,[12][13][14] les illes Carolines, Guam, Indonèsia, el Japó (incloent-hi les illes Ogasawara[15] i Ryukyu),[16][17] les illes Maldives,[18] la Micronèsia, les illes Mariannes, Nova Caledònia,[19] Oman,[20] Papua Nova Guinea,[21] les illes Filipines,[22][23][24] Taiwan,[25] Tonga[26] i el Iemen.[27][28][29][30][31][32][33]
