Morfologia modifica

Reproducció modifica

És ovípar[5] i les femelles ponen càpsules d'ous, les quals presenten com unes banyes a la closca.[7]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 213-2.550 m de fondària.[5]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba a l'oceà Pacífic nord: des de la Mar de Bering fins al nord de la Baixa Califòrnia (Mèxic).[5][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18]

Observacions modifica

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
